Duke Philip of Bavaria, also known as Philipp von Bayern, was born on September 14, 1972. He is a member of the House of Wittelsbach and the second son of Prince Max, Duke of Bavaria, and Princess Elisabeth of Bavaria.
Educated in English and French schools, and followed his father’s footsteps and became a successful business entrepreneur, with a focus on renewable energy initiatives.
Duke Philip of Bavaria has been married to Archduchess Gudelia of Austria since 2004, and they have five children together.
He is involved in various charitable activities, and has a passion for sports, especially sailing and skiing.
Duke Philip has been chosen as the heir to the headship of the House of Wittelsbach by his father, and is expected to succeed him as the Duke of Bavaria.
